“The World Ends With You” Review

I completley forgot to write a review on this game. I told myself I would as soon as a beat it. Sadley, I got side-tracked.
Oh well, here it is:

Recieved 9/10 from Gamespot.com, 9/10 from IGN.com, and 9/10 from Nintendo Power. The World Ends With You has received great praise and is probably one of the best role-play games out for the DS.  Square Enix has wowed the video-game community countless times, and now they do it once again with their game for the Nintendo DS, “The World Ends With You“.

This game takes place in the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan where the main character, Neku, wakes up to find that he’s completley lost his memory. It does not take long for Shiki, the main female character, to form a pact with Neku and begin what is known as the “reapers game”.

In the game, Neku and Shiki are forced into the reapers game that will determine whether or not they get to go back to living, or face erasure. As the game progresses, Neku and his allies learn about their past, and began to question their future when its in the hands of the Reapers (hence the “reapers game”).  Lasting a week, each Reaper’s Game is a contest to judge the worth of humanity.

Not only does The World Ends With You have great gameplay, awesome story line, and a creative way of combat, but the game also holds a different, yet pretty good soundtrack. (See list of songs from soundtrack at bottom of page)

Overall, I strongly recomend this game to anybody who loves a good RPG. :]
