Recieved 9/10 from Gamespot.com, 9/10 from IGN.com, and 9/10 from Nintendo Power. The World Ends With You has received great praise and is probably one of the best role-play games out for the DS.  Square Enix has wowed the video-game community countless times, and now they do it once again with their game for the Nintendo DS, “The World Ends With You“.

This game takes place in the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo, Japan where the main character, Neku, wakes up to find that he’s completley lost his memory. It does not take long for Shiki, the main female character, to form a pact with Neku and begin what is known as the “reapers game”.

In the game, Neku and Shiki are forced into the reapers game that will determine whether or not they get to go back to living, or face erasure. As the game progresses, Neku and his allies learn about their past, and began to question their future when its in the hands of the Reapers (hence the “reapers game”).  Lasting a week, each Reaper’s Game is a contest to judge the worth of humanity.

Not only does The World Ends With You have great gameplay, awesome story line, and a creative way of combat, but the game also holds a different, yet pretty good soundtrack. (See list of songs from soundtrack at bottom of page)

Overall, I strongly recomend this game to anybody who loves a good RPG. :]

It’s a fashion trend sweeping the nation. With a variety of color, leggings can be found in any store and can be worn on almost any occation. Whether paired with a casual dress or long T, leggings can fit into any person’s closet and on any budget.

I personally think that if a shirt is long enough or paired under a dress/skirt/shorts then this look is quite trendy. If the shirt is a bit on the short side, then please be careful of cameltoe.

But is it really a curse? Or is one of the characters in the story playing a trick on the small town of Hinamizawa? The anime starts off with about 16 question/answer arcs that provides the viewer with questions of who killed who. Then, the real stroy begins in “Higurashi No Naku Koro Ni Kai” where the murder is finally put to the end. I definatley recomend this to any horror anime lover.

The secret ending of Kingdom Hearts: Final MIx +, showed a movie scene in which revealed three new main characters. The characters, Terra(eyes flash yellow at end of scene), Aqua(blue haired female), and Ven(tus. Bares strong resemblence to Roxas) are shown fighting against an old man, Master Xehanort  in a rocky terrain. To see this trailer please click here.

358/2 Days tells the story of the days when Roxas was alive. It is rumored to include his time in the real Twilight Town, in the Organization, being friends with Axel, and his fight with Riku.

It is also rumored that a fourteenth member will be introduced but who that member is or whether this is even true has not been officially stated.

Lastly, Coded will feature King Mickey discovering a letter and entering digital worlds in attempt to find out what the message means.

Note: only the release date for 358/2 days has been announced so far. It is set for September 29, 2009

School Days is known for its bad endings. The original ending includes stabbing of the stomach and a boat. However, as the PC version( released on April 28, 2005 ) and the PS2 version( January 17, 2008 ) more endings began to appear.

The story today has total of fifteen pleasent endings, three horror endings, two harem endings, and one that is a variation of previosly stated endings.

The many endings is confusing, as love trianges turn into love octagons, all of which may either result in a horrable death or a happy ending, depending on which version one sees. I for one, think that School Days was entertaining, despite the slightly confusing plotline.

Note: School Days may not be appropriate for younger viewers. Scenes in which include intercourse, blood, and death, may be disturbing to children. (i.e. cutting open a stomach to see if somebody is really pregnant)

Today, the cosmetics industry has exploded with thousands of products that women (and men) use in order to inhance their features. Eyeliner is among one of these thousands of products.

Users of cosmetics have often been thinking about whether or not eyeliner can cause blindness due to the fact one is applying foreign body substances so close to an opening in the nervous system. In 1931, Lash Lure contained the product “synthetic aniline” wich ended up causing 16 cases of blindness and one death. However, in today’s world cosmetics are regulated just as the FDA approves food.

In the year 2008, there have been zero cases of blindness or death due to eyeliner or any other cosmetic products; however, people who dye their lashes are at a risk of dying their lashes as stated in the FDA’s Consumer Haid Dye Dilema Report. 

Since the year 1931, there has been little documentation stating that eyeliner causes blindness; however, if one is appling make-up near the eye and experiences irritation, one should probably stop using that cosmetics line. If loss of eyesite occurs please see a doctor if your judgement tells you it is serious.

Please note that one should not see a doctor  for every slight irritation.

Some say Elfen Lied is “a disgrace and should not be considered as anime.” However, these people are ignorant fools who can not see a universal theme when it stands before them.

Elfen Lied demonstrates how society today treats citizens whom are different. Citizens in todays society tend to seperate themselves of whom have a disability, different social status, different econic income, different hair color, different skin color, and different eye color. This is a sad truth as even though it has been stated that all people are created equal, society yet still refuses to recognize this.

This theme is demonstrated in Elfen Lied as both the human race and the diclonious* act against one another. The diclonious continue to harm the human race as the human race continues to harm the diclonious. This is because to humans, the dicloncious are different(see *), and are considered violent trash. To the diclonious, humans are worthless and are too considered worthless trash.  This can be compared to who humans view other humans by outward appearences such as hair, skin, and eye color.

Some say that this theme is true; however, Elfen Lied takes it to an extreme by severing human body parts. I must disagree to this and point out that it is yet another sad truth that violence is among us. Everyday, people get shot. Everyday, people loose limbs. As a matter of fact, an episode of America’s Most Wanted once aired a show on three torso that were randomly found. This is to say that three human bodies were found, all distatched from their limbs & heads. Therefore, acts of violence occur everyday, along with the other thems demonstrated in Elfen Lied such as rape, child abuse & animal abuse.

Then viewers of Elfen Lied may ask, “then what is the deal with that women exploding when *Nyu denies her mother?” This, I must admit, is a bit drastic; yet too develops another theme. This demomonstrates that everyone is going to die eventually and life is but a ticking time bomb. There was a bomb inside the women(representing her time living) and it just so happend that Nyu’s statement “My mother? … Isn’t you” killed the women and so her time was up and the time bomb inside her exploded. Drastic & Dramatic? Yes. Represents an great theme? Yes.

Due to the points and facts I have provided, Elfen Lied is way more than a bunch of violence & gore. Elfen Lied provides many universal themes and demonstrates the way humans think of one another.

*Diclonious = “super humans/monsters?” that are kept up in cages in a labratory and a most often fed through tubes. The difference between diclonious is they have small horns on thier heads and posses telepathic powers. The main character, Lucy/Nyu is of the diclonious race.
*Nyu/Lucy = the main character. She is about the age of 18 and is shot in the head as she makes an escape to get away from the labratory. She has a split personality in which are very different. Lucy is kind, and sweet hearted and violent, Nyu is ignorant, and childish. Lucy is seen with redish/orange hair/pink, Nyu is seen as purpleish/ viloet/auburn hair.  (The hair color depends on which version you are viewing) She holds a past with another character, Kouta’s, family.
